Get ready, Amsterdam! Brave Space is back for its third edition, and this time, it promises to be bolder, braver, and more captivating than ever. On Thursday, 20 February, at 8:45 PM, Theater Bellevue’s Speakeasy venue will once again transform into the home of Brave Space, a storytelling night that empowers, celebrates, and highlights diverse voices.

What is Brave Space? Brave Space is more than just a storytelling event; it’s a platform for acts of bravery, experimentation, and inclusivity. Partnering with Backlash Productions, Theater Bellevue offers this queer-centered night of powerful, (un)tested ideas told from a queer perspective. Hosted by Backlash’s own dynamic Joseph Kearney, the evening promises a stellar lineup of performers who are ready to take to the mic and create magic.

The theme for this edition? “Lick It?” A bold and playful invitation to explore stories that are raw, real, and resonant.

The Lineup:

• Guido — Queer historian and guardian of Café t’Mandtje, sharing the story of Bet van Beren.
• Ali — Filmmaker and hilarious gender non-binary storyteller, recounting tales of US high school and a very important list.
• Rory — The reincarnation of David Bowie, bringing an unforgettable presence to the stage.
• Raphaella — A dancing mathematician, sharing a touching tribute to her pansexual uncle and his remarkable life.
